Just outside the doors at INFINITE, you’ll find one of the country’s greatest cities awakening. Warmth and sunny days are on their way, which means it’s time to shake off the winter funk and prepare yourself for the exciting opportunities of the coming season. Just moments from downtown, DePaul University, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Roosevelt University, our luxury student housing community puts you right in the heart of it all.
Looking to Get in Shape?
If you’ve been less active than you’d like this winter, rest assured that Chicago offers endless possibilities to get you moving again. Try Garland Park Conservatory’s virtual yoga classes every Saturday, which allow you to be “out on the town” without even leaving home.
And if you’re dying for fresh air, explore the North Branch Trail System. Here, you’ll find just over 35 miles of paved and unpaved multi-use trails that wind through ecological restoration sites and follow 20 miles of the Chicago River. Just remember to bring a mask, which is required at this site.
Take a Deep Breath
Did you know that watching fish causes the brain to produce endorphins, relieving stress and anxiety? Take advantage of that by visiting the Shedd Aquarium. There, you’ll be able to see jellyfish, belugas, dolphins, penguins, and more, giving you a nice way to de-stress from a long winter.
Also try taking a stroll through the Chicago Botanic Gardens, for a little nature therapy. You can enjoy their dozens of gardens, including the Dwarf Conifer Garden, the Japanese Garden, and of course, the Bulb Garden.
Remember to pre-register before you plan to visit and bring a mask.
Change Your Perspective
If you haven’t visited Promontory Point yet – or haven’t been there in a while – it’s a perfect time to head that way. Located in Burnham Park, this man-made peninsula will give you an incredible view of the city.
And if you really want to shake up your perspective, visit 360 Chicago. From 1,000 feet above the city, you’ll be able to see in every direction, from the Chi-Town skyline to the blue stretch of Lake Michigan. Be sure to purchase your tickets online before you arrive.
Clean Up Your Diet
If you want to recommit to eating healthier, explore Chicago’s healthy dining scene. Sweetgreen offers a seasonal menu of cold and hot bowls overflowing with nutrient-dense local veggies, and Left Coast features hip and simple meals from avocado toast to acai bowls.
